Our laboratories are an integral part of the geotechnical and geo-environmental investigation and consultancy services that we offer at Southern Testing. Through our in-house laboratory testing and specialist sub contract laboratories we are able to provide a fast and reliable, comprehensive range of laboratory testing and reporting services.
Geotechnical Laboratory Testing
Our in-house laboratories are equipped to provide comprehensive geotechnical soils and rocks, aggregates and earthworks, construction materials and concrete laboratory testing services which meet the appropriate British and European Standards.
All in-house testing is undertaken within the scope of our BSI registered Quality System to ISO9001:2008 by our team of experienced NVQ qualified laboratory technicians.
Contamination & Environmental Compliance Testing
Our laboratories have been set up to handle a wide variety of geotechnical and geo-environmental samples, and in addition to the aforementioned tests, we also provide a full range of contamination and environmental compliance testing suites accredited to UKAS and MCERTs for soils, waters and gases, through approved external laboratories. Geotechnical and Geo-environmental Sample and Data Management
At Southern Testing are continuously looking at ways to improve our methods of geotechnical and geo-environmental data capture, data management and reporting, through the use of commercial and in-house developed software systems, and thus allowing us to provide our Clients with AGS4 data, if requested, at any stage of the project.
We were one of the early beta partners during development of Keynetix KeyLab software, which has been implemented within our in-house laboratories and sample store and forms an important part of our sample and laboratory test Data Management Procedures. The system streamlines workflow and ensures laboratory efficiency from sample and storeroom management, electronic scheduling to testing and reporting in PDF and AGS formats. Our laboratory testing facilities enable our clients to choose a comprehensive service which includes the collection of samples from site, transportation to the laboratory, storage, testing, analysis, advice and guidance in support of further engineering requirements.
